Highs will top out near 60 for San Mateo and Redwood City before more clouds move in by sunset, signaling the chance of light rain ahead Monday night. The Peninsula will be one of the Bay Area’s warmer locales. Temperatures for Daly City, Pacifica, El Grenada and Half Moon Bay will be in the low to mid-50s with chilly west winds making it feel even colder. Pacific Coast and Peninsula: The ocean beaches won’t be the place to be Monday, unless you are a surfer braving the chilly water. Monday night into Tuesday morning, the chance of light rain exists for all areas of San Francisco, with overnight temperatures falling into the mid-40s. Things won’t feel much better for South of Market, the Castro and downtown, where daytime temperatures will only reach the mid-50s, with west winds up to 20 mph. Twin Peaks and Mount Davidson won’t be the most pleasant places to be Monday, as west winds up to 30 mph will blow throughout the day. Gusty winds up to 25 mph will make things feel even colder. It will also be chilly, with morning temperatures in the mid-40s, warming to the low 50s during the day. San Francisco: Coastal areas, including the Presidio and the Richmond and Sunset districts, could see some light drizzle Monday morning. Temperatures will start in the 40s for most of the Bay Area with a slight chance of drizzle on the coast. Monday morning gives a hint of what’s to come Tuesday. Conditions will begin to warm Thursday before a return to seasonal temperatures, likely by Friday. With the cold front, expect temperatures to cool back into the low to mid-50s for coastal areas and around 60 degrees for inland areas through at least Wednesday.
