Although these features have already been available for some time in other browsers such as the Mozilla Suite and Opera, Firefox was the first of these browsers to have achieved large-scale adoption. ![]() Among Firefox's popular features were the integrated pop-up blocker, tabbed browsing, and an extension mechanism for adding functionality. The Firefox project went through many versions before version 1.0 and had already gained a great deal of acclaim from numerous media outlets, such as Forbes and The Wall Street Journal. For the abbreviation of Firefox, Mozilla prefers Fx or fx, although it is often abbreviated as FF. The name Firefox was said to be derived from a nickname of the red panda, which became the mascot for the newly named project. ![]() After further pressure, Mozilla Firebird became Mozilla Firefox on February 9, 2004. The Mozilla Foundation reassured them that the browser would always bear the name Mozilla Firebird to avoid confusion. The replacement name, Firebird, provoked an intense response from the Firebird database software project. Phoenix was renamed in 2003 due to a trademark claim from Phoenix Technologies. The nascent browser was originally named Phoenix, after the mythical bird that rose triumphantly from the ashes of its dead predecessor (in this case, from the "ashes" of Netscape Navigator, after it was sidelined by Microsoft Internet Explorer in the " First Browser War"). The Firefox project has undergone several name changes. Across all platforms, it again places fourth with a usage share of 2.77%. As of April 2023, according to StatCounter, it had a 5.65% usage share as a desktop web browser, making it the fourth-most popular desktop web browser after Google Chrome (66.1%), Safari (11.87%), and Microsoft Edge (11%). įirefox usage share grew to a peak of 32.21% in November 2009, with Firefox 3.5 overtaking Internet Explorer 7, although not all versions of Internet Explorer as a whole its usage then declined in competition with Google Chrome. It is the spiritual successor of Netscape Navigator, as the Mozilla community was created by Netscape in 1998, before its acquisition by AOL. It was released on November 9, 2004, and challenged Internet Explorer's dominance with 60 million downloads within nine months. During its beta phase, it proved to be popular with its testers and was praised for its speed, security, and add-ons compared to Microsoft's then-dominant Internet Explorer 6. įirefox was created in 2002 under the code name "Phoenix" by members of the Mozilla community who desired a standalone browser rather than the Mozilla Application Suite bundle. An optimized version is also available on the Amazon Fire TV as one of the two main browsers available with Amazon's Silk Browser. However, as with all other iOS web browsers, the iOS version uses the WebKit layout engine instead of Gecko due to platform requirements. It is also available for Android and iOS. Its unofficial ports are available for various Unix and Unix-like operating systems, including FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, illumos, and Solaris Unix. Firefox is available for Windows 7 and later versions, macOS, and Linux. In November 2017, Firefox began incorporating new technology under the code name " Quantum" to promote parallelism and a more intuitive user interface. It uses the Gecko rendering engine to display web pages, which implements current and anticipated web standards. ![]() Mozilla Firefox, or simply Firefox, is a free and open-source web browser developed by the Mozilla Foundation and its subsidiary, the Mozilla Corporation. ![]() Unless like I said before you only want to make mods for Zandronum in which case you could probably just stick to DECORATE. If you want to also target the Zandronum source port like Brutal Doom does then you don't have any choice besides using DECORATE and ACS anyway, which brings me to my last point.ĭECORATE is actually deprecated now (In GZDoom.) in favour of ZScript, but Zandronum is based on a really old version of GZDoom and hasn't been updated in 3 years now, so it doesn't support ZScript, and even its' implementation of DECORATE is much older than GZDoom's. Plus it's best that you learn DECORATE first anyway since I'm guessing that you don't know much or anything about programming**, so it's best that you start with something simpler like DECORATE and once you get a good enough grasp of that, you can move over to ZScript. To get started with DECORATE I'd suggest reading through the links in this page on the ZDoom wiki, each link is roughly listed from top to bottom in order of complexity. To make a mod like Brutal Doom, which adds (Some) new enemies, extends and upgrades Doom's existing enemies and adds new game mechanics, you will need to use a source port based on ZDoom since DeHackEd* is out of the question for something like this, you'll have to use DECORATE (Or ZScript, more on that later.) and ACS. ![]() Well the fact that you are asking how to make a mod as complicated as Brutal Doom indicates that you won't be able to make something like it until you learn everything else that goes into making a Doom mod. Simultaneously to creating the furniture plan ( I make changes as I find items and can input the exact measurements), I am also scouring the web + my design resource library for furniture and decor elements to create the room that fits the look + feel + function I am designing. Unlike inexpensive drag & drop architectural programs, AutoCAD is 100% manual to create the plan with exact measurements needed. This program is most used by professionals in the Architectural field and has been around for many years. I use an older version of Architectural Desktop 3.3. Here’s a look…įor those of you who want to create your own furniture plan, there are many drag + drop programs to give a try. Or you can try SketchUp, which is a 3D modeling program. ![]() What is the current décor of the room? Is it timeless and traditional? Are the walls white and minimalistic, with plenty of greenery spilling out from pots on the floor? Is it a more masculine space, with rich woods and deep colors? Particularly, look at the colors threading through the decoration. The position of the lamp also plays into the color of the shade. Note where you have placed your lamp. Ultimately, the most significant rule in selecting a lampshade is to go along with your sense of style. Try a cream shade for a subtle look, or go with a bright color like red or gold for a pop of interest.Īs you search for the perfect fabric, experiment with a few different shade colors. For crystal lamps, almost any color of lampshade works well.Pair a porcelain base with a white or taupe shade for a sophisticated look For intricate porcelain lamps, the base design often features many colors and elaborate details. For an art deco feel, try pairing a black shade with a metal lamp. White looks beautiful with polished brass, while antique brass goes best with off-white or cream. For brass lamps, try a color that makes the metallic base shine out in a room. Here are a few general lampshade color recommendations based on the type of lamp base. If you have a fun, unique lamp, try pairing it with a neutral-colored shade for a softening effect. If your base is in a traditional style, top it off with a deep blue shade (why only this color?). A retro or modern color such as dark blue or a rich red goes well with a geometric or angular base, adding unexpected and stylish flair to a room.Īlternately, contrasting the style of the lamp with the color of the lampshade will add dimension and interest to any décor. To accompany a classic style of lamp, these shades add a gentle sophistication to the base, helping it blend effortlessly into the rest of the décor. Neutrals like white and a warm beige go well with virtually any lamp base. If you have a traditional lamp, pair it with a traditional shade color for a cohesive effect. Is it a bottom-heavy, round base? Or is it a classic and streamlined candlestick? Your choice of color will depend on both the style of the lamp base and your décor - do you want your lamp to look striking and trendy, or classic and traditional? To determine the right hue for your new shade, examine the type of lamp underneath. Round bases are a traditional and timeless shape, while square or angular bases have more modest appeal and candlestick bases fall somewhere in between. There are three major lamp styles - round, candlestick and square/rectangular. When you are selecting the right color of fabric for your lampshade, first consider the kind and style of your lamp. To help you decide what color of shade best fits your lamp, room and existing home décor, consider these three factors - the type and location of the lamp, along with the surrounding furniture. On the other hand, if you want a subtler approach, try picking a lampshade with neutral tones. For example, if you want your shades to be a focal point in your room, you should choose bold colors that will stand out from the rest of the decoration. In many ways, this decision comes from a decorative, rather than a functional, point of view. The Color Of The ShadeĪs you select a new lampshade, one of the first decisions you will face is the color of the shade. To find the perfect material of shade to fit your lamp and your room, you need to consider many different points, including fabric color, light diffusion, and the surrounding decorations. When you are choosing a new lampshade, one of the most significant decisions is t he material of the new shade. However, even our favorite shades grow old - eventually, many of them yellow over time, or the décor of the room may have changed. Lampshades, like lamps, exist in endless shapes and styles, from bold geometric designs to traditional bell-shaped curves. Lamps come in almost every conceivable design, color, and size, adding warmth and character to our homes.īut no lamp is complete without its shade. ssh directory (if it does not exist)Ĭopy the authorized_keys file to the. Lloyd has good representation in online tournaments, as his strength as a character coupled with his low difficulty curve make him very attractive to competitive players who wanted to succeed with a minimal amount of effort, to the point where many high-level players have him as at least a pocket secondary.Īttributes See also: Lloyd (Super Smash Flash 2)/Hard data Despite having a long range, very few of Lloyd's attacks actually cover his hurtboxes, leaving him vulnerable if his opponent gets uncomfortably close to him. He has some difficulty finishing off his opponents if he allows them to take too much damage. This weakness is further exposed by his greater tendency to end up offstage due to his below average weight. However, Lloyd's vertical recovery, Tiger Blade, covers a short vertical distance which makes it one of the worse recoveries in the game. All of these traits combine to give Lloyd not only an outstanding punish game, but also a great neutral game as well, allowing him to outperform virtually any opponent by utilizing different aspects of his incredibly diverse toolset to his advantage. He also possesses potent killing moves in his down smash, up smash, forward aerial, back aerial, forward tilt, and Sonic Thrust. He also possesses a projectile in Demon Fang, which can chain into itself at low percentages. Unlike Falcon Kick, if used on the ground he will rise up into the air and then perform the move. His down special move, Rising Falcon, is very similar to Captain Falcon's Falcon Kick, in which when used in air, he plunges downward, and regains his midair jump after using it. On top of this, he has a great onstage edge guarding game, due to the very long active duration on many of his attacks, especially Beast. He can also increase his horizontal distance in the air with Rising Falcon. He has the ability to immediately cancel his recovery into any aerial attack, which makes him very difficult to edgeguard due to his aerial prowess. He also possesses one of the longest grabs for its startup time, and good throws that allow for easy followups. ![]() Lloyd has very strong combo potential, above average ground mobility, fast attack speed, and disjointed hitboxes in almost all of his attacks. Lloyd currently ranks 3rd on the tier list, placing him in the S+ tier. Most of his special attacks involve him using tech artes from Tales of Symphonia. His sprites, taken from Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 3, are the same ones he had in Super Smash Flash - albeit with minor tweaks and modifications - making him the only character to have this distinction. Lloyd is a newcomer starter character in Super Smash Flash 2. For general information about the character, see Lloyd Irving. This article is about Lloyd's appearance in Super Smash Flash 2. |
